I’m excited to say that I have once again been chosen as a finalist in the EPSRC Research Photo competition! This time I was selected as third place in the “People” category.
This photograph was taken on my recent trip to Atlanta, GA, where I was conducting research for my PhD in Gregory Abowd’s Ubicomp lab in Georgia Tech. This particular photograph was taken during the closed-roads “Atlanta Streets Alive” event in September 2014, where the usually busy Atlanta roads are opened up to pedestrians, cyclists and plenty of street food!
I didn’t have my “big” camera with me during the event (as I bought a Sony RX1 later in my trip), so instead I shot this photo with my Sony RX100 and edited the RAW file in Lightroom.
You can see the other winning entries on the EPSRC website here, and you can see the remainder of the photographs I took on my Flickr account here.
